Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge
Welsh rugby legend Jonathan ‘Jiffy’ Davies leads an annual 50-mile bike ride from Cardiff to Swansea in August.

The money raised is shared between the South West Wales Cancer Centre at Singleton Hospital, Swansea and Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.
In 2024, more than 340 riders saddled up for the annual Jiffy Cancer 50 Challenge raising more than £40,000 for cancer services in South and West Wales. For our fifth year of Jiffy’s 50, we invite you to join us on our next ride!
Proceeds from the ride go towards cancer services in the South West Wales Cancer Centre, at Singleton Hospital, and Velindre Cancer Charity. Riders will tackle the challenging 50 mile route from Cardiff City Stadium to Swansea’s Bracelet Bay.
Led by Welsh rugby icon Jonathan ‘Jiffy’ Davies, this year’s ride will be the fifth year in a row. Last year smashed the £250,000 mark, but we’re inviting you to help us take things to the next level for Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge 2025! Are you in?
In 2024, over 300 cyclists took part in Jiffy’s fourth annual challenge – the largest number so far – raising a total of £40,000
In the previous four years, you’ve helped us to raise a staggering
£250,000
Jiffy said:
“This event, and the charities it supports, are very close to my heart. We had people on the ride who are currently having cancer treatment.
On the darkest of days, days like this need to be celebrated.”
Sarah Gwynne, consultant clinical oncologist at the South West
Wales Cancer Centre, said:
“We could not do this work without your support and are very grateful.”

The riders have a one-of-a-kind police escort through mumbles, finishing at Bracelet Bay.
