Our Ambassadors
Our Charity Ambassadors play a vital role in our work. They help us reach more people and make a meaningful difference. By sharing our message through their platforms, they help us spread hope and support throughout Swansea Bay and beyond!

We are always seeking new Charity Ambassadors to spread our message and help us make a difference. The health board covers many areas; mental health, learning disabilities, children, elderly, renal, the list goes on! Are you interested? Contact us today: [email protected]

Kev Johns MBE
One of Swansea’s most beloved entertainers, broadcasters, and matchday announcer for the Swans, Kev Johns MBE is a proud Charity Ambassador for Swansea Bay Health Charity. After experiencing cancer first-hand and making a full recovery, Kev is passionate about giving back and going the extra mile.
Having received life-saving treatment at Singleton Hospital’s South West Wales Cancer Centre, Kev supports our Going the Extra Mile for Cancer appeal, which aims to raise £200,000 for the very centre that helped him heal.

Mal Pope
Musician and matchday lounge host Mal Pope became a Charity Ambassador for Cwtsh Clos after the heartbreaking loss of his grandson, Gulliver.
With personal experience of NICU, Mal is dedicated to helping us raise our fundraising goal of £160,000 to renovate Singleton’s NICU accommodations, creating five “homes away from home” for families of sick and tiny babies. His mission is fuelled by gratitude for the care his family received during their most challenging times.

Caris Bowen
Passionate sports enthusiast, Caris Bowen was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 21 and bravely faced eight months of chemotherapy.
Now celebrating 12 years of being cancer-free, Caris channels her journey of resilience into fundraising for our Going the Extra Mile for Cancer appeal. Her story inspires others as she advocates for living life to the fullest through sports, nutrition, and embracing every opportunity.

Ken Goddard
Known as the “Mad Welshman”, Ken is determined to honour his father who sadly passed away from cancer. He has taken on incredible challenges, from open-water swimming to Iron Man Wales and Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge. Ken’s motivation comes from knowing that his efforts help fund the South West Wales Cancer Centre, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
The Mad Welshman takes on daring challenges to raise awareness and funds, and inspire others to support the cause in any way they can. His efforts to raise vital funds for the SWWCC show an unyielding commitment to making a real difference in the lives of cancer patients in Wales.
