Teaming up with parkrun for 30 Miles in May

Swansea Bay Health Charity is proud to be launching a new collaboration with parkrun Wales as part of this year’s 30 Miles in May challenge.
On Saturday 25th April, the Charity team will be attending Gnoll parkrun to meet local runners, share the story behind the Cwtsh Natur Appeal, and encourage participants to turn their weekly miles into meaningful impact.
The appeal is raising £200,000 to transform the outdoor space at Neath Port Talbot Children’s Centre into a safe, sensory-rich therapy garden for children with additional needs. Located just six miles from Gnoll Park, this is a truly local cause with the potential to make a lasting difference for families in the area.
parkrun’s weekly 5k events already bring together a passionate and active community. With five Saturdays in May, regular runners will naturally complete over 15 miles – putting them well on their way to achieving the 30-mile challenge.
This partnership marks the beginning of a wider collaboration between Swansea Bay University Health Board and parkrun called parkrun people, aiming to support the health and wellbeing of our communities and workforce by encouraging regular, inclusive physical activity through local parkrun events.
If you’re joining Gnoll parkrun on the 25th, be sure to stop by, say hello, and find out how you can get involved in 30 Miles in May!
